SIGHTS
Around the accommodations there are streets and trails offered for beautiful walks into the forest and climbing for the bolder ones.
The mountain is full of routes for cycling and jeep safari, if you own a 4x4.
You can visit:
1.
The stone bridge in Kato Karyofito where you can enjoy the breeze from the towering, age-long platans and the traditional watermill nearby.
2.
The traditional tap in the north part of Kato Karyofito, with a view surrounded from the totally green of nature and water from a running spring with beneficial properties for human health.
3.
The waterfall of Leibaditis (35 metres high) which is said to be the biggest in Balkans, following the forestal 1900m trail.
4.
The top of Gyftokastro, with an altitute of 1745m and a panoramic view to contiguous Bulgaria. Its accessible through the forestal 4km trail, which crosses the forests of beeches, pines and towering firs.

The preservable Monument of Nature, consisting of undisturbed beech coppice.
6.
The arced Leonidas bridge, on the way to Arkoudorema. An important hub in the past.
7.
The Hut Castle, important archeological site of the area, with a panoramic view to the valley of Nestos.
8.
The Macedonian Tomb in the municipal department of Komnina.
9.
The Folklore Museum of Stavroupoli and the Church of Evaggelistria.

There are taverns, cafes and bars in the area where you can dine and have a good time.
